Frank Hunter: The Hunt Begins

The Creation of Frank Hunter

Building the World of CHADDERbox Studios

Every monster hunter has an origin story.

Frank Hunter started as an idea that sat somewhere between old-school gothic horror, outlaw Americana, and supernatural action comics. I wanted to create a character who felt grounded, dangerous, and human — someone carrying faith, trauma, and responsibility into a world full of monsters hiding in the dark.

The original spark came from a simple question:

What if the Catholic Church secretly trained hunters to fight supernatural evil?

From there, the world of Frank Hunter began to grow.

The World Behind the Hunt

In the universe of Frank Hunter, the Church operates a hidden division known as the V.H. Program — an underground network dedicated to combating vampires, demons, werewolves, and other supernatural threats across the world.

Frank isn’t a superhero.

He’s a trained hunter raised inside this system from childhood, taught how to survive horrors most people never even realize exist. His weapons, tactics, and faith are all tools in a war fought in the shadows.

But Frank Hunter isn’t just about monsters.

It’s about:

  • isolation

  • duty

  • belief

  • sacrifice

  • and what happens when a person becomes a weapon against evil

Influences Behind the Series

Frank Hunter pulls inspiration from a lot of things I love:

  • gothic horror films

  • dark westerns

  • supernatural thrillers

  • noir storytelling

  • heavy atmosphere and cinematic visuals

There’s DNA from classic monster stories mixed with modern action and grounded character drama.

I wanted the series to feel gritty and lived-in while still embracing larger supernatural mythology.

Building CHADDERbox Studios

Frank Hunter also became the foundation for something bigger:

CHADDERbox Studios.

The goal isn’t just to make comics.

It’s to build worlds, characters, music, visuals, and stories that feel connected — an indie studio built around original storytelling and creator-driven projects.

This website is part of that process.

You’re seeing the world of Frank Hunter being built in real time:

  • concept art

  • comic pages

  • lore

  • behind-the-scenes work

  • and future multimedia projects

Why Start Now?

Because waiting for “perfect” kills more creative projects than failure ever does.

Frank Hunter is being built publicly — page by page, sketch by sketch, story by story. That means readers get to experience the evolution of the world alongside me.

This is only the beginning.

The hunt starts here.
